In summer 2024, PRAX (Practical Security Attacks and Exploitation) will be kicked off on April 9th, 2024 at 08:00 on site (room A4.0.13). This year, the course will be in English. If you are unsure whether you'd want to attend PRAX in English, don't be afraid to just show up in the first lecture where we will answer questions and provide some more information on the organization of PRAX. 

PRAX is about practical computer security attacks and their countermeasures. The course focuses on practical work as you will have to solve challenges. Be prepared to do some programming here and there so you should have completed the programming courses (EPR, OPR) up front. The first challenge is to find out the password to register in this course. You must show up in the first lecture. Register for this course until April 13th, latest. More details are to be announced in the first lecture, so make sure to show up.

Die erste Vorlesung wird am 09.04. ab 08:00 Uhr in Präsenz in A4.0.13 stattfinden. In diesem Jahr findet PRAX auf englisch statt. Kommen Sie gerne in die erste Vorlesung, selbst wenn Sie unsicher sind, ob Sie PRAX auf englisch belegen möchten. Wir helfen gerne, Ihre Fragen zu klären und geben genauere Hinweise zum Ablauf der Veranstaltung. Wenn Sie an PRAX teilnehmen wollen, müssen Sie in die erste Vorlesung kommen.

In PRAX, Practical Security Attacks and Exploitation, geht es um praktische Angriffe aus dem Bereich IT-Sicherheit und entsprechende Schutzmechanismen. Das Fach hat einen hohen Praktikumsanteil, in dem Sie Aufgaben (Challenges) lösen müssen. Sie müssen in diesem Modul häufig programmieren, daher sollten Sie mindestens die Programmiermodule des Grundstudiums absolviert haben (EPR, OPR). Die erste Challenge besteht darin, das Passwort für die Selbsteinschreibung dieses Kurses herauszufinden, also sollten Sie nach Möglichkeit in die erste Präsenzveranstaltung kommen.
